Linda Unti

“Water Color is my chosen medium and the expressing the essence of the Wine Country”

For Linda Unti, watercolor is far more than a chosen medium; it is a lens through which she views the world. Nestled in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley in Healdsburg, CA, Linda lives a life defined by the rhythms of the land as a vineyard and winery owner. This deep connection to the soil of Sonoma County informs her work, but her creative spirit often travels across the Atlantic to the architectural elements of Italy.

Linda’s journey into the arts began in 2002, marking a vibrant second act after a high-powered career. Her professional path took her from the head of a high school classroom to the executive offices of Visa International, where she headed global communications. While she has sketched her entire life, the transition to watercolor artist allowed her to trade corporate strategy for the fluid, unpredictable beauty of pigment and water.

Her technical foundation was built locally under the tutelage of Judy Greenberg and Phyllis Rapp. However, Linda’s commitment to her craft is a process of constant evolution. She has refined her skills through intensive workshops with nationally acclaimed masters, including John Salminen, Ric Dentinger, Jean Haines, and Christopher Schink. Today, her paintings serve as a bridge between the rustic elegance of Healdsburg and the timeless charm of the Italian landscape.
